Junior Alfredo Núñez nació en Mexicali, Baja California, el día 16 de agosto de 1997.
Estudió hasta segundo año de primaria en Mexicali, después vivió y estudió en Tijuana hasta el segundo año de secundaria.
Comenzó a tocar guitarra a la edad de los 17 años, aún sin cantar. Una vez cumplidos los 18 años regresa a Mexicali para abrirse camino en la música. Formando su primera agrupación, siendo un sierreño y así en tres agrupaciones más, hasta iniciar su carrera como solista, llamándose hoy en día JR NÚÑEZ.
Fonovisa Records se interesó en JR NUÑEZ después de que su versión de “300 Locos” comenzó a ganar terreno en las redes sociales. Para la sorpresa del sello discográfico, JR no solo es un excelente interprete de canciones, sino que también es compositor de sus propios temas.
El originario de Mexicali, Baja California nos trae su EP VIVO VOLUMEN 2, con cuatro Corridos grabados en vivo. El EP EN VIVO Volumen 2 es el primer álbum que sale en asociación con FONOVISA RECORDS. VIVO Volumen 2 tiene cuatro temas, tres covers y La C & La A es escrita por el mismo JR NUÑEZ.
Esto solo es un toque de lo que viene. Actualmente, JR NUÑEZ está ocupado en el estudio grabando su primer álbum que saldrá este año.
Junior Alfredo Núñez was born in Mexicali, Baja California, on August 16, 1997. He studied until the second year of primary school in Mexicali, then lived and studied in Tijuana until the second year of secondary school.
He began playing the guitar at the age of 17, initially without singing. After turning 18, he returned to Mexicali to pursue a career in music. He formed his first band as a sierreño musician, followed by three more bands, before starting his solo career, now known as JR NÚÑEZ.
Fonovisa Records became interested in JR NÚÑEZ after his version of “300 Locos” started gaining traction on social media. To the label’s surprise, JR is not only an excellent interpreter of songs but also a composer of his own material.
Originally from Mexicali, Baja California, JR NÚÑEZ brings us his EP VIVO VOLUMEN 2, featuring four corridos recorded live. This EP is his first album released in association with Fonovisa Records. VIVO Volumen 2 includes four tracks: three covers and “La C & La A,” which is written by JR NÚÑEZ himself.
This is just a glimpse of what’s to come. Currently, JR NÚÑEZ is busy in the studio recording his first album, set to be released later this year.
